War Metal Tyrant Guide: Player vs Player (PvP) Arena Decks with Auto Off
With all the missions and accomplishments behind you, you're ready to get your Arena score up or participate in Faction wars. Assuming you are competitive, you should aim to put together well balanced decks with high-end cards that will let you win more than 50% of your battles. I've found that I have a very high success rate with each deck covered in this guide, with a tremendous amount of testing. You can use any class of your choosing: Bloodthirsty, Imperial, Raider, Xeno, and even a hodgepodge of Assault, Structures, and Assault cards to win and I have builds for any preference. If you don't have all the cards for these decks, I recommend you wrap up the endgame missions, knock out the achievements, and open a few Nexus packs with the War Bonds you get daily. If you've received all the reward cards and are still missing some highlighted cards, I have substitutions to help you jump into battle. The two decks below are fantastic to use with Auto off. If you don't have the time to choose your cards manually, then I also have three balanced builds where you can let Auto stay on and blast through your 100 energy before going back to your work. Have fun winning!
Fast Bloodthirsty Deck with Rally
The Bloodthirsty class has been a bit meh before the Nexus expansion. However, the days of Xeno decks with 10 Mind Controllers is over and there are new juiced up cards to play. This bloodthirsty deck is pretty common in endgame PvP, using Malort's Rally Bloodthirsty 1 and the occasionally helpful Strike Raider 1. To use it effectively, take Auto off and begin by playing one of four cards (listed in order of preference): Legendary Malgoth for it's Rally All Bloodthirsty 1, Brood Walker for it's Rally All 1, Venemous Raptor for it's Poison and thus ability to take out a lot units, and Hatchet for it's Flying and low Wait. Many decks with a similar build use a lot of Hatchets but those people likely have less of the highest end cards and have to make due with what they have. Next, play Shapeshifter if your opponent plays a unit with Strike, otherwise pick another card discussed. Once you have 2 or 3 cards out, start bringing out the Asylum structure cards for it's Rally Bloodthirsty 2. From that point on, Mawcor and Sulfuris Sentry are great to finish out your attack for their flurry ability. Supposing you play your cards in ideal order, you could expect the following damage output over only three assault cards and all three structures by turn 11: 5 (Malgoth w/ Malort's Rally + Asylum), 5 (Brood Walker + Asylum), (5x2)+4 Poison (Venemous Raptor with Flurry + Asylum) Take Auto Off and Strike!
There are a lot more unbalanced versions of this deck, but I tried to give you a chance against defense decks with a ton of structures. Start with Atlas for his Strike 1, play Earthquake Generator or Missile Silo cards to open as they have high wait and where the bulk of your damage will come from. As your opponent brings out assault cards, use the EMP or Airstrike Action cards to keep yourself and your structures alive while they overcome their high wait. If your opponent plays a structure, immediately play Titan or Poseiden for it's Seige ability. Otherwise, get all of your structures out first and then bring out the units at the end. You don't want to start with the assault units because you don't have healing from your commander and thus they're a fair amount weaker and easily exposed by Action cards. I included the Unique Bloodthirsty card Draconian Queen for it's Leach (to overcome no serious healing) and Flying to avoid some damage. You could also use the Unique Raider Havoc for the same reason, and it may be even more helpful w/ it's low wait and Pierce. Assuming you can keep your structures alive, you'll be doing a ton of Strike damage every turn as you bring out your cards to kill the opposing commander. Some people elect to play Kraken for it's high health and without Earthquake Generators, Missile Silo or Tesla Cannon is a fine replacement.
