Jon-Paul Kaiser Mini Qees™
Arrgghh! With a name like "Captain Sturnbrau" it's no wonder that this originally sculpted pirate has one peg leg. Standing 5 inches tall with a patch over his left eye, this soul-less brute has an intense beard most men wish they could grow. From his beer belly to a hook for a hand it's pretty clear this character takes his job description very seriously. Originally based on the Mini Qee™ platform, the toy's themed packaging incorporates an epic tale printed on the side of the box about the old pirate and his legendary crew. The added detail of the boat anchor tattoo on the wrist of the pirate's good hand along with the etched JPK circular logo on the back of the figure has increased my overall appreciation of the captain. In case you were wondering - the pirate's hat isn't detachable, but the toy has 3 points of articulation including the head and both arms.

UNCLE's Grapejuice Custom Dunny from his Monsters and Demons Blind Box Series
As soon as UNCLE's Grapejuice Dunny popped out of his egg he went right for the fridge. As you can see from the purple stains on his face this attraction was only natural. The abstract color combinations that make up the monsters grunge influenced splotchy skin tone give him an aloof loner appearance. One eyed with spikes in his head, the Dunny's arms are moveable while the head is stationary. Given his bloated cheeks I wonder if the creature's mouth is full of grape jelly or if he's just had his wisdom teeth removed. Although due to his misshapen mismatching teeth I doubt he's seen a dentist in a bit. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but this splendid little guy has definitely won me over.

Round 5 MMA Roy Nelson Action Figure
Just a quick question, who do you think is in better shape - my Cleveland Brown action figure or this Round 5 Roy Nelson figure? This heavyweight is back in action at UFC 143 against Fabricio Werdum on February 4th, 2012. According to the fighter's About page on his website, he was initially inspired by films like The Karate Kid and American Ninja. This Las Vegas native has an astonishing level of endurance when he's in the ring, after all how many fighters can just as easily finish a fight standing or on the ground? A member of Round 5's Ultimate Collector 8 Series, Nelson is posed in his well known pose with his hands on his belly.

Unbox Industries M5 Bravo and Stee-Gar Profondo Rosso Edition Designed by Jeff Lamm
Stee-Gar's head, wings, waist, lower torso, and legs all articulate and M5 Bravo's arms, head, waist, lower torso, and legs are moveable. These 6 inch toys do contain small parts and are not intended for children under the age of 14. The spiky frazzled texture of Stee-Gar's body is entertaining and addicting to touch. M5 Bravo comes packaged with stickers that read M5B, Game Over, Unbox Industries, etc that are meant to be placed on the rectangular box on the figure's belly. While this concept is clever, I couldn't bring myself to put a sticker on this toy seeing as I valued it so much in it's original form.

Sekure D Championship 1996 Bullsbot Series
The platform utilized for this series are all four inch Kidrobot Munny toys. Packaged in a custom box, the bottom even appears to be hand signed by the artist himself. The Championship line-up listed on the back includes: #9 Ron Harper, #13 Luc Longley, #23 Michael Jordan, #33 Scottie Pippen, #91 Dennis Rodman, and an unknown mystery chaser. Wrapped up securely in bubble wrap, I was ecstatic to have the chance to see a piece of art by Sekure D in person. Sporting a number 13 jersey, the character pulled from the blind box was Luc Longley as a Bullsbot.

Play Imaginative's Chinese Zodiac Mini Figure World Series by Joe Ledbetter
From talking to both retailers and collectors, these figures have had an extremely high demand. With the decision not to go blind box, astrology fans have had the chance to be introduced to designer vinyl while at the same time have the ability to purchase the exact figures desired. Whether someone wants to create an entire 12 year display on their wall or give a birthday gift of the ram, doing so is much more obtainable and affordable. Capturing Joe Ledbetter's classic paper cut-out brought-to-life aesthetic, these characters stand anywhere between 3.5 and 4 inches tall.

Kidrobot's 7" Staple Pigeon
To get this right out there in the open before we go any further in this review, NO the fake poop does not glow in the dark. Don't worry, we checked! As if the Michelin Man had a pet pigeon, this puffed up guy stands a whopping 7 inches tall. Any time a designer toy automatically presents itself with some unique home display options I become more interested. Once a spot was picked in my home office for the bird to hang out I had the pleasure of deciding where to place the poop accessory. A touch of class if I do say so myself!

POP! Holiday Vinyl Figures
Finding special ways to add some holiday cheer to our home is something that is still a priority so naturally when we came across these special Holiday POP! figures in Target reasonably priced we couldn't resist. There are a total of five characters in all and each box is numbered from 1 to 5. The color of the box is differentiated by the film each character originally appeared in, for instance Bumble is in a red box because he was from the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer® Movie. The vinyl figures include Santa Claus, Bumble™, Rudolph™, Snow Miser™, and Heat Miser™.
