Easy Victories With Slayer Cards

Often when playing Warstorm, particularly in end-game - you'll find the toughest competition in fighting barbarians. Yes, if you fail four times in a row they'll change the barbarians to be easier, but if you want to win nearly all of your battles this is one guide you should read. Have you ever ran into someone with an "Undead Slayer" modifier and you had two decks of Undead in action and that one card took out 3-4 of yours? Not fair right? Here I'll be highlighting the Slayer cards. There are three types of factions that have "xxx Slayer" counterparts: Undead, Demon, and Orc. When you fight barbarians, they'll show you what factions you're about to run into. Fighting a really well built Orc faction? Melt through them by building a deck full of Orc slayers and including a spell or artifact to help them stay alive. Take a look at my very simple Slayer decks below!

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer Norag Hunter Card in Warstorm

Seems cheap right? Well, you do have to open a lot of packs or buy single cards with silver or warcash, but yeah - it's super cheap. Norag Hunter is the only card that kills Demons, flying or not, in one hit. To keep them alive, I chose a Kirdanaan Darkshield with Block. The attack modifier doesn't matter, because all of your hits against a Demon will do enough damage to kill. Get these cards in basic packs, and refresh the single card store often as there is generally one purple xxx slayer card every few refreshes. The boss doesn't really matter, but I chose the T7 Bogar the Berserk because it would let me bring out the artifact and has a wait of only 10.

Undead Slayer

Undead Slayer Cerebrus Card in Warstorm

Ancient Paladin Human Undead Slayer Warstorm

Cerebrus is pretty epic. 4 wait for the Orange, 6 wait for the Green, these guys do what all slayer cards do - kill the targeted card in one hit. They're immune? Doesn't matter - one hit wins! I included Lord Yauba to increase attack only to shorten the time it takes to take all of your opponent's morale. Recycle is fantastic for this deck, letting you put three used cards back into your hand to be played again. In a one deck fight, this card is a MUST. I also used Invigorate for it's Heal All 4 property - as you only need to keep your cards alive or Recycle them to wipe out every Undead card your opponent throws at you. Note the Ancient Paladin above. I don't have it, and am jealous of you if you do. It's super rare, has Undead Slayer, Block, and is a Cavalry card. Cavalry has a ton of cards that help them, and block is so helpful when making easy decks like this. Merely using 4 Cerebrus cards when fighting undead is enough to win, but if you build a deck of Ancient Paladins? Again, I'd be very jealous.

Orc Slayer

Orc Slayer Anden Orcblade Card in Warstorm

This anti-Orc deck actually has a helpful Hero. Lady of Shadows has Sap 2, which lets me take away 2 attack from any non-flying enemy opposing it. It also let's me bring in an artifact, which provides block. We can't all have Ancient Paladin's, but the Red Tide Shield gives one Anden Orcblade block, taking 1 dmg off every hit it sustains. If it survives those hits, one strike from the Orc Slayer card kills the Orc, flying or not. Your opponent spent 10+ turns bringing out it's hefty Orc unit, use your 4-6 wait card to kill it and the next 2 cards in it's path. I also included a screenshot of the Anden Bladeslayer. If you're not using multiple decks with humans, then it's not better since it takes 2x the time to come out and only has one extra health - but if you're using a synergized deck? OMG, this card would wipe Orc armies out extremely quickly with it's whirlwind capability.

Anden Bladeslayer Elf Orc Slayer Warstorm

There aren't any Human Slayer or Elf Slayer cards out yet, but I play daily, check the cards available daily, buy decks all the time, and as soon as one pops up you'll see an article up immediately! Until then, use tough decks that exploit your enemies - typically sturdy Undead cards with a mix of modifiers can casually beat most Elf and Human decks, just make sure not to have too many Flying units vs Archers and incorporate some immune cards to fight against Zap.

Thank you for reading!
