Opportunity LOL Reviews: Sekure D Championship 1996 Bullsbot Series
I think I'm having a flashback! The year is 1996, which means I'm quite the cool 12 year old boy. I'm wearing my Chicago Bulls Starter Jacket to honor the best team of all time while the Bulls go 69-13. Flash forward to now, hanging in my living room is an autographed Jordan jersey. So, obviously when one of the most prolific shoe customizers of all time generously offered to run a giveaway with one of his new figures from his Championship 1996 Bullsbot custom series I was in awe. Life doesn't get any better, right? The platform utilized for this series are all four inch Kidrobot Munny toys. Packaged in a custom box, the bottom even appears to be hand signed by the artist himself. The Championship line-up listed on the back includes: #9 Ron Harper, #13 Luc Longley, #23 Michael Jordan, #33 Scottie Pippen, #91 Dennis Rodman, and an unknown mystery chaser. Wrapped up securely in bubble wrap, I was ecstatic to have the chance to see a piece of art by Sekure D in person. Sporting a number 13 jersey, the character pulled from the blind box was Luc Longley as a Bullsbot. Here's the lingo: a Bullsbot is a Ballerbot. A Ballerbot is part of the "Codename Unknown" world of robots, who are explained in our interview with artist Sekure D. A one-eyed robot, the mixture of colors created on the player's abstract silver and gold skin is profound. With attention to detail, the figure is wearing a championship ring on his right hand. The artist's sleek well-defined professional lines that make up the design on the face of the Munny is impressive. Check out our Flickr Set to see the toy from multiple angles.
