Artist DrilOne

This is a big one! Today we have a fantastic interview with toy customizer DrilOne, who has become a much bigger name in 2011. Not only has DrilOne released a tremendous amount of customs quite consistently this year but the artist has had his first solo show with Dragatomi and a design turned into a production Dunny with Kidrobot. Below you'll learn a lot about DrilOne's past, his style, collaborations, social media, and the toys that he collects.

Kevin "Dot Com" Brown of "30 Rock"

One of the breakout stars from NBC's "30 Rock" sitcom is Kevin "Dot Com" Brown, who plays a bodyguard to Tracy Morgan's character similarly named Tracy Jordan. The scenes focusing on Dot Com, Grizz, Tracy, and Kenneth rank as many fans' favorite moments throughout the show's time on television. With 30 Rock returning January 12th, 2012, it was extremely kind for a busy actor such as Dot Com to answer my questions about the acting and comedy world. Learn what the actor and comedian thinks about the chances of 30 Rock coming back past season six, his advice for up-and-coming comedians, and what Dot Com considers the biggest pitfalls facing an actor.

Comedian and Artist Andy Milonakis

From 2005 until 2007, MTV2's "The Andy Milonakis Show" was one of the funniest shows on television. Super weird, but it was clever and quite unfortunate that it didn't survive past it's three total seasons. Andy Milonakis has since acted in many films and amassed a huge online following. As I type, this Andy's Youtube Channel has over 100,000 subscribers and 36 million video views. I approached Andy as a fan of his comedy and found that Opportunity LOL's focus on art is an even better fit for his newest project - "I'm Not Very Good™."

Blogger Andy Heng of TOYSREVIL

TOYSREVIL is one of the best toy blogs on the internet. Andy Heng is a one-man machine and outproduces pretty much everyone throughout the blogging world. For those of you who read TOYSREVIL, this interview should be great to learn more about the guy whose posts you love to read. For the larger world of bloggers, this should be massively helpful in allowing you to read what a pro thinks about reviews, interviews, generating traffic, show coverage, and a lot more. Oh, and we have an exclusive reveal of something extraordinary for the toy collecting public.

Artist Sergio Mancini

Collectors within the custom toy world may already know Sergio Mancini for his excellent solo work plus collaborations with Red Mutuca Studios and the Most Wanted custom Dunny series. Going forward, in 2012 the bulk of production toy buyers will likely have his Dunny 2012 piece on their shelves. Sergio won his spot for taking "Best in Show" in Kidrobot's 2011 MUNNYWORLD MEGACONTEST, which had a massive number of skilled professionals competing. Learn more about this Brazilian artist, the Red Mutuca collective, and working with Kidrobot on his upcoming Dunny.

Pause Designs

The following 20 minutes is going to be well worth the time spent reading. You will not find a more entertaining interview in 2011 plus you may have a new favorite clothing company! I first learned of Pause through their contributions to the Most Wanted custom Dunny series and they have continued to release extraordinarily well done toys and shirt designs. Since their recent unveiling of a custom yeti toy built out of an upside-down Dunny, I had to learn more about the clothing design company and their work. The owners of Pause Designs took the time to answer my questions and couldn't have been more clever or prompt.

Comedians "The Apple Sisters"

Earwolf has quickly become the dominant comedy podcast network and in late May of 2011, The Apple Sisters showed up as a new show on their website. These three women: Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, and Sarah Lowe have since released a new 20-30 minute episode every week and have only become more entertaining. With a unique style, their skits and songs sold me immediately as an advocate for their alternative comedy. Fortunately new listeners can start from the beginning as the show does not rely on pop culture and trending topics, but instead plays upon society in 1943 USA.

Artist Paul Kaiju

Party Ball creator Paul Kaiju has released some of the most popular and interesting toys and is responsible for converting many toy collectors to the world of Kaiju. Hit up this thread to see fans sharing shots of their Paul Kaiju collections and feel the same envy I have for those who snapped up his almost-always sold out releases. I've been a fan of Paul for years and he was extremely kind in agreeing to do this interview and answer my many questions.

Artist Alex Griendling

It's very impressive to see a designer who has clearly put a lot of time and effort into his work, marketed well, and seen real-life results. Alex Griendling runs multiple websites, created work shown on the most popular websites, and currently works for Google. Furthermore, his "Time Traveller's Calendar" was a huge hit in 2011 and it's back for 2012!

Artist Sekure D

Here at Opportunity LOL it should be no surprise that we have a respectable toy collection, however few know that we are also sneakerheads. While some are old Reebok pumps from decades ago, others are actually custom painted sneakers. Since we like to do things big here we actually got an interview with one of the biggest names in the shoe customization world, Sekure D. This Australian-based artist has been dominating the design world, customized some of the freshest sneakers, and is now breaking into the toy customizing world.
