Champions in Backyard Monsters
Introduction There are currently three champions in Backyard Monsters: Drull, Gorgo, and Fomor. You hatch them in the Champion Cage and can store hatched champions in the Champion Chamber. Each champion has their own positive and negative qualities, and in this article I'll explain the ways to use each in this game. Before the Champion Cage was introduced, you had to juice them in the Monster Juicer if you wanted to change. I personally upgraded each champion and juiced them just to figure out what I wanted and I'll explain which one I decided to settle with. At this point in the development of Backyard Monsters, I recommend you fully upgrade all three and place them in the Champion Chamber to use at various times. Backyard Monsters Guide Sections: I find the Gorgo to be best at solo'ing poorly defended Outposts or low level wild monster tribes. It has very high health, medium damage, and provides no boost to friendly monsters and does not fly. If you are attacking an opponent with baitable bunkers or a champion cage, using a Gorgo plus a Zafreeti is a great way to absorb that damage and kill most defenders. The Drull is great at looting Wild Monster Tribes and can do very well with a single Zafreeti healing it. It also can kill a few D.A.V.E. units as long as they don't have a Zafreeti healing them. It has medium health, high damage, and provides no boost nor does it fly. The Fomor is great when accompanying four monster bunkers full of monsters in defense or a large number of attacking monsters as it can provide up to a 90% boost in speed and health to friendly monsters. It has low health, low damage, but it can fly and harm flying units at higher levels. A Zafreeti and D.A.V.E. with the Rockets upgrade can kill any of these champions if they are solo or unprotected. This is a good reason to make sure your champion is in the middle of your yard so that it is accompanied by friendly monsters in their bunkers to defend. To upgrade your Champion, you need to feed it a specified number of monsters every 24 hours for a number of days until each upgrade is reached. This can be annoying if you're a very busy person, but fortunately if you miss a feeding you only move back a feeding rather than start from the beginning. There are six total levels and from there you still need to feed it every day for three levels of additional buffs. I personally find the Fomor to be the most powerful champion and I don't think it's close. The 90% buff is absolutely insane and can improve friendly monsters to such a point that you can save a lot of Goo when looting tribes or give you a huge advantage when attacking human opponents.
